What We Study

One Parent Plus Kids:

A practical, 12-week curriculum based course just for single parents and their kids. This course has been designed to provide healthy ways for parents and kids to build stronger single parent families. Our goal is to help single parents and their families develop the characteristics and behaviors common to all healthy families. This research-based curriculum reinforces the strengths of the single-parent family in an encouraging, safe place where single parent families can be genuine and honest with others, with themselves and with God on their journey to health and wholeness. Whether you are a single parent affected by the pain of death, divorce, an absentee parent or simply looking to build healthy communication in your single parent family. We want you! You don’t have to handle being a single parent by yourself. Let others who have walked the same path help and encourage you.

At each session, parents attend break-out sessions with a facilitator to discuss a topic relevant to single parents and their children. Children are included in age appropriate classes with a matching curriculum. The children’s lessons are engaging, fun and faith-based, led by caring, trained adult mentors.
